LOVE

How can you interpret or put into words, paint an image or even simply show?...its funny but the more i try to wrap my mind around the very idea of love and just when i thought i have it figured out, i find myself once again lost..lost in the mere simplicity of it all...like a child yearning for a mother or son longing for his father...lovers, although miles apart will find the time and write heartfelt words showing how much they long for one another...i have seen love around me..people hugging, enjoying each others words as it departs from each others lips..kissing under a moon-lit midsummer sky..even though there is war and death, all is well somehow because there is love...love is fierce...an unending surge of energy summed up in courageous acts...whether it be telling someone how you feel or letting go of the comforts in order for one to live better...love is bleeding, gut-wrenching...pierces the deepest part of the soul, breaking every single selfish pride only to be pieced together again with a life worth living...love is for living..not selective nor choosing on whom to give but crucial in one's attitude and behavior towards the world we live in..it is the state of one's mindset in relating towards an individual...not of obligation or duty but of justice and righteousness...love is struggle...an never ending journey of self in world full broken glass and dark corners..giving light when the time is at its darkest..hope when the floodgates comes crashing..peace when chaos comes knocking...love is salvation..we are the product of our decisions..black or white and shades of grey...we are lost and confused and in our deepest longing and in our outmost struggle, in our last prayer, we find salvation..we find love.
