When Waters Rise.

Flood
You came through night and day
Beating on tin roofs with hard rain
As waters fill the empty streets
Rising waters underneath our feet

Oh how my soul aches for you child
Oh how my hearts breaks for you dear mother
Seeing how everything you have
Is floating under water

You came blowing with wrath
Fierce winds blowing at your side
As cries echoes for dear life
Silence falls in the streets tonight

Oh how my soul aches for you brother
Oh my heart breaks for you dear father
Watching the hopes and dreams we have
Is simply washed away in the flood

This week has been a trying time, not the personal kind but more so on situation that is happening in the place where i was born. Typhoon Ondoy has left a once vibrant and metropolitan city of Manila in utter mess. Countless people are left without homes and nourishment. My heart aches and my soul is crying out, my home is in shambles and in complete chaos...i am left with a choice and with it opportunity to be a bearer of restoration and hope...i thank God for friends who feel the same, with the same `ache' and with a passion to extend a hand...the goal is set and we need to mobilize in any way we can..donate money, send packages of clothes, food and water..talk to your community leaders for the government to be an example that although we are oceans apart, we are still part of the global community and that caring is never out of fashion.
